BTech exam: Technical University rejects central proposal to go online, exam the next day

Thiruvananthapuram: The BTech exams scheduled to start on Wednesday, July 14 will be conducted offline, says the Technical University. The university also said that the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)’s recommendation to conduct the exams online could not be implemented.

The AICTE had suggested that it would not be safe to conduct the exams offline and that those from other states would not be able to appear for the exams directly. The order was based on the complaint of Kodikunnil Suresh MP.

However, AICTE’s recommendation is to consider making the Technical University online, saying there will be no change in the exams. The announcement is that the exams will start the next day.
