Oommen Chandy blames himself for defeat; Chennithala says don’t make me laugh; Held at KPCC meeting

It is reported that the emotional expressions of the chairman Mullappally Ramachandran and Oommen Chandy in the KPCC political affairs committee met to analyse the defeat in the assembly elections. Mullappally emotionally responded that there was an attempt to make him responsible for the defeat and that everyone was involved in the defeat. However, Oommen Chandy said that he has the responsibility and will take it up as the chairman of the selection committee. At the same time, Ramesh Chennithala said that one should not make others laugh by blaming each other.

Before the meeting, Ramesh Chennithala said that he would accept any decision taken by the party and the parliamentary party. Don’t blame each other and tell others to laugh anymore. The BJP knowingly turned the vote for the LDF to eliminate Congress. Chennithala said the re-determination of constituencies was done so that the LDF would win in any of the 60 constituencies.

Chennithala alleges that there are widespread attempts by the RSS to ensnare Congress leaders. The leaders unanimously decided to be vigilant against the RSS strategy. The leaders also stood united at the KPCC meeting on not allowing the RSS to take advantage of the clashes.

At the same time, K Sudhakaran said that he was responsible for the election defeat of the Congress. Sudhakaran also pointed out that the number of seats in Kannur was reduced from three to two.

The KPCC Political Affairs Committee meeting was held against the backdrop of widespread demand for K Sudhakaran as the KPCC president and VD Satheesan as the Leader of the Opposition. Mullappally Ramachandran had earlier said that he was ready to resign if the High Command told him not to.
